Hole Riders Application:
Section I: Who The Fuck Are You?
What is your primary timezone, age, primary language, and approximately how many hours a week do you play EVE?
US EST or CST, 19 years old, 10-14 hours a week usually. Might be less if life gets busy
Do you approve of scamming people? Ever done so? Do you honor ransoms?
I don't scam and never have, but it's a part of Eve and I understand this. However, I don't think corpmates should scam other corpmates though. Can’t stop it from happening but it’s a morality thing to me at that point. I would honor ransoms if I demanded one.
Do you approve of spying, meta gaming, etc.? Ever had this done to you or done so yourself? Do you have any useful spy alts? If so PM the information regarding them to Krebs von-Runge.
Spying is also a part of Eve but it should be kept in the game(edit: don't stalk people in real life). I’m neutral as far as meta gaming goes. It really just depends on the game. Both of the corps I've been in had spies in it, especially Horde. I do not have any spy alts at this point.
List all of your characters, amount of SP they have, and what specializations they have, obviously characters meant for the purposes above can be withheld for obvious reasons as long as they are discussed with directorship.
Erick Campileer: 8.8 mil SP : Primary Pilot, not yet decided on specializations. Somewhat close to Proteus and Tengu
Mike Isayeki: 435k SP : Hauler Alt
Do you have any FC experience? Do you have any special skills or knowledge you'd like to share with us?
I do not have any FC experience whatsoever. I've experimented with Pyfa recently and tried to see how much tank I could get on a Deep Space Transport and I had a Bustard get 102k EHP with max skills.
How long have you been playing EVE? Tell us about your history in the game! Go ahead and make a novel of this.
When I started playing Eve, I had absolutely no clue what I was doing. I joined my first null sec corp called Altruism and stayed for about a month. We did dip our toes into wormhole space when we lived in an Astrahus before Brave evicted us. After that, I decided to join Horde. That's where my story really begins.
I learned plenty of things from Horde. We had a lot of fun with PvP fights and everything. I went on a decent amount of ops with them. I remember when we used to take cormorant fleets out to CO2 space and tried to get them to fight. They usually never did except once. The one time they did was so much fun and I can never forget it.
When we went into their space with cormorants, they said they weren't going to fight us unless we brought more valuable ships. So of course, we went back and reshipped into Caracals and came back. They started forming up capitals and supercapitals and we all thought we were going to die, but I was still kind of excited. So when they warped their first cap to us, TEST came and hotdropped them with their capital fleet. CO2 warped all their capitals that were on their citadel in and it turned into probably one of the best fights I participated in Eve. CO2 lost a good amount of caps and lost a supercap in that fight.
More recently, I went on the op to destroy CO2's Keepstar. I injected into a Scorpion and joined the fight. Even with TiDi and all, it was a whole lot of fun. Seeing that Keepstar explode was worth all the time.
Why did you want to join us? Where did you hear about us? Who refereed you to us, any vouches from members you know?
I want to do something new in Eve. K-Space can get somewhat boring at times because we always have the same neighbors, same visitors, same routes to everything, etc. Wormhole space may be more dangerous but that’s what makes it more entertaining. I heard about you guys while you were in PanFam. I was looking to see if any wormhole corp was blue to PanFam and there you were. Although you guys are resetting with them soon, I’d like to try something a little different. No one referred me here.
Are you a Fuckwit? Shit Starter? Got any Tears or Salt to share with us?
I mean, I'd like to say I'm not a fuckwit....but I admit nothing
Section II: General Requirements.
10,000,000 SP
Our goal is to introduce people to the joys of wormhole life, train and teach. We expect you do your own research though and arm yourself with knowledge where you can.
Ability to probe scan well, with decent scan skills (Astrometrics IV + Supports).
Ability to listen and communicate effectively in English over Mumble and Discord using a functioning non-shit microphone.
Be active. We do not have an official kill board requirement. We do expect active contribution to the corp by PvP content generation or helping run our logistical backbone.
Ability to be a team player, and understand we are very communal. Willing to do your part for the greater corporation and your peers. We live by the ideals of Socialism and Distributism.
You must submit to full API checks. Full transparency. If applying on the forums you will still be subject to a short interview on discord as you would by contact or reference.
We require that you be self-sufficient in regards to ISK. The corp does not sponsor or run official PvE fleets as we are a primarily PvP corp. You are however encouraged to arrange PvE activities such as site running with other members. Also available are corp and private buybacks for Blueloot, Gas, Salvage, etc.
I agree to all this. Although the socialism approach is new to me, I'll be willing to help the corp when needed. Although I have low SP right now(8.8 mil), I'll help whatever way I can and will train into recommended/required Skills ASAP. I will probably need to make more money first before I can really jump into the action.
Section III: Ship Suggestions.
Entry Level: Stealth Bombers, Astero, Confessor, Deacon.
Stealth Bombers: 9 days away from sitting in a Manticore, but will probably need to train for the modules it uses
Astero: Will be able to sit in an Astero very soon. By the time this application is reviewed, I might be able to fly it
Confessor: 12 days away from sitting in one, will need to train Small Energy Turrets(my Amarr skills are very low)
Deacon: My skillpoints in logi is almost non-existent. If needed, I can train my logi skills up
Intermediate Level: Brutix Navy Issue, Harbinger Navy Issue, Stratios, Sacrilege.
Brutix Navy Issue: Will be able to sit in one in under a day but need to train more skills into the guns to make it optimal
Harbinger Navy Issue: 1 day and 19 hours to sit in one if I start training it, but will need to train more Amarr skills to make use of any Amarr ship whatsoever
Stratios: 19 hours from sitting in one. When I start training Amarr, this gap could close quickly.
Sacrilege: Very far off from being able to fly this ship. 50 days of skill training to even sit in it
Advanced: Legion, Loki, Proteus, Guardian, Oneiros.
Legion: From what I’ve said about Amarr ships, going to be a long time before I sit in this one
Loki: Not close to sitting in this one either
Proteus: Relatively close compared to the other two, but still pretty far off
Tengu: Will be able to hop into this in a month after I start skill training for it. Closest T3C for me to sit in
Bonus Points: Armor Capital Ships, Faction Battleships, Black Ops, Capital Industrial Ships, Freighters/Deep Space Transports/Blockade Runners.
I can fly Caldari Deep Space Transports and Blockade Runners. Could be in Caldari Navy Battleships in under a day
Section IV: We Love Our Carebears!
To achieve our goals as a corp, fact is a strong industrial backbone is needed! Massive bonus points if you have skills, experience with, or the desire to perform:
Mining Operations in <0.5 space, Mining boosts, etc.
I can fly decent mining barges(Tech I Strip miners). Procurer is what I'm most comfortable with.
Manufacturing, especially T3 Production/Reactions, Capital Ship Construction, POS Management, etc.
Industry V, Advanced Industry IV, Advanced Small Ship Construction IV. Probably average industry skills
Planetary Interaction
Erick Campileer has up to par PI skills. Comand Center Upgrades IV, Interplanetary Consolidation IV, Remote Sensing III.
Mike Isayeki does not have PI trained
Hauling, Shipping, Logistics, especially doing so safely through dangerous space.
Erick Campileer can fly Caldari Deep Space Transports and Blockade Runners. Mike Isayeki can fly Gallente Tech I haulers
Blueprints, Invention, Reverse Engineering.
Not skilled into this right now. Willing to train into it if needed.
